Gnosis Safe setup

Connect a signer wallet

To create a Gnosis Safe account, you first have to connect a signer wallet. Gnosis Safe supports a wide range of signer wallets (see the screenshot). Make sure you have some coins on the wallet, as the Safe deployment requires a transaction fee.

Choose a name

Once a wallet is selected, you can start to set up your Safe by clicking on "Create New Safe". First, you need to name your new Safe. The name is only stored locally on your computer and never shared with Gnosis or any third-party.

Select signers

This step is vital as these addresses have the right to submit and approve transactions (you can delete or replace them later). Your connected signer wallet is suggested as the first signer, but you can change it. Add as many signers as you want, either by pasting their wallet addresses or entering an ENS name.

Define confirmation threshold

The last step is to select the number of signer confirmations for a transaction or any settings change in your Gnosis Safe account. Be sure to think carefully about this option. If you do not have access to enough signers to reach the threshold, you won't be able to recover your assets.

Review and deploy a Safe

Once you have reviewed all parameters, you can submit the creation of your Gnosis Safe account and follow the on-screen instructions to complete it.
